I get asked all the time by my clients: how do I travel and stay healthy at the same time, it is so hard to do that.
The truth is, it is NOT hard, it just requires a little bit of preplanning and most importantly, a decision. A decision to nurture yourself, to make the time and space for you to eat well and get your exercise.
I travel alot for work; last year I was away for most of the year..but I still stuck to my guns and ate well and found time to walk, at the very least.
My top three tips are:
1. Shop at the supermarket for breakfast and lunches instead of relying on cafes and take aways
2. Choose veggie heavy meals in the evening and swap chips for salad
3. Try to replicate your routine whilst away – if you exercise in the morning, still do that, if you have lemon and water in the morning, still do it
